Using the Library With Your Classes
Sign Up for Your Class to Use the Library:
Locate the date on the calendar in Paul's office that you want to bring your class.
If there is one name (or no names) on the calendar for that day, you may sign up.  The library can accommodate two classes per block.
Complete a Class Visit Planning Form and leave it on Paul's desk.
If you need for Paul to give your class an orientation, or any other type of introduction, please talk to Paul or any of the library staff.

Library Rules that Teachers Need to Know:
If you have to have a sub on a library day, please do not send the sub to the library with your students.  Find something else for them to do.
Please do not allow your students to eat or drink while they are in the library.
Make assignments that students can use print as well as internet resources.  We do not have enough computers for you to assign projects that will require your students to spend a significant amount of time on the library computers.
Please do not allow your students to congregate by the front door to wait for the bell.  Keep them at their tables until the bell rings.  The area by the circulation desk needs to be kept open for students who need to check out books, pay fines, or pay for prints.

Library Databases:
The library pays for several databases for teacher and student use (see Online Resources.)  They are accessible from the library computers without passwords or from your home computer with passwords.  The passwords are available to faculty and students at the circulation desk--just ask.
